Meet the Dews
Rachael and Chris met in 2012 while studying hospitality at Florida Gulf Coast University. Both built their careers in Southwest Florida’s club and events industry, working in food, beverage, and event production. When Rachael became pregnant with their first child, Clay, they knew the late-night schedule was no longer sustainable. That shift led to the start of I Dew Events.
Their original goal was simple: 15 weddings a year. By year three, they had already surpassed it. Today, with more than 2,000 events completed and an average of 200 each year, the business continues to grow.
During the pandemic, Chris joined the company full-time, helping expand services beyond planning into wedding rentals, event rentals, and floral design. They also now manage LaFinka, a Southwest Florida event venue and restaurant. Along the way, they discovered their true passion lies in design, which has become the foundation of their work.
What began as a passion has grown into a full-service wedding rentals and event rentals company serving Southwest Florida. With a hands-on, detail-driven approach, the team is dedicated to creating thoughtfully designed events that feel seamless, elevated, and completely personalized.
