Meet The DEWS
Rachael and Chris met at FGCU while in the hospitality program back in 2012. They both were very heavy focused in the club industry here in SWFL mostly focused in F&B and Events. Once Rachael was pregnant with their first child Clay they decided they both couldn't work the crazy hours and that was the start of I Dew Events! Their goal was to do 15 weddings a year and quickly passed that goal in year three! Now with over 2k in the books and an average of 200 yearly the calendar continues to grow! During the pandemic Chris followed the path and became full time with Rachael to grow the business more. Expanding the company from planning to rentals and of course flowers to now managing LaFinka too. The Dews very quickly learned their passion was in design and this was their niche!
If they are not at a wedding they are with their two kids boating, traveling, or just relaxing from the crazy schedule! They LOVE sports! Chris is a huge FSU Fan and Dolphins fan where Rachael is from Philly and supports the Eagles very much! The household is very divided with teams but they always cheer on their little ones with football, soccer, dance and all the activities in-between! They love to be part of the community, club events and more! Their focus may be weddings but events are their jam in every way!
If you asked these two 10 years ago where would they be this would not have been the path however they wouldn't change one curve in the road for anything! These two love to create, build, design and bring all the events to life! They are the definition of family business with the bickering and all in the office! Happily married bringing one event to life at a time!
Meet Bobbi
Bobbi is our Lead Florist but also Rachael's mom (definition of family business)! Bobbi is a self taught florist with a background in Drug and Rehab/ Medical field. Bobbi worked her whole life in the medical field but during the pandemic decided she wanted to put her design skills to life and join the team to follow her passion! She LOVES flowers! Quitting her job of many years she kicked off and ran full force in the flower department. She grew up and lived in PA her whole life. Recently moving here and getting married SWFL is now Bobbi's home! Her favorite flower is the Gerber Daisy which is funny since we don't work with them often but oh does she get happy when daisies are in a design!
If Bobbi isn't building flowers she is down at the beach, hanging with her husband or grand kids, and soaking up that Florida sun in every way! Its been a journey learning flowers and never did we think we would say we are doing ceiling installs or custom builds but our designs keep growing and we are all having a blast!
